The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has joined forces with the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) in a concerted effort to tackle ongoing revenue losses and bolster the nation’s income.
Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, the Acting Comptroller-General of Customs, announced this partnership in Abuja, emphasizing that the cooperative endeavor aims to synchronize strategies and combine resources to optimize the transfer of collected revenues to the Federal Government.
M. B Shehu, OFR, Chairman of Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission, expressed that this collaboration symbolizes a unified stance in combating revenue leakage and underscores the dedication of both organizations to safeguarding the financial interests of the nation.
He further noted that the partnership between the Nigeria Customs Service and RMAFC is aimed at strengthening the country’s fiscal stability, reducing revenue losses, and ultimately enhancing the nation’s economic resilience.
